Journeys of Life in 2012
"One's destination is never a place,
but a new way of seeing things."
Henry Miller
Many aspects of our lives can be likened to a journey. In some of these, it's a journey over which we have a fair amount of control. We can choose the destination. Our effort and energy determine progress. For these parts of our life, it's worth regularly pausing to reflect: Where are we heading? Do we need to adjust course? What can help along the way?
In other parts of our life, however, it feels that we are on a journey we didn't choose, or which we don't control. This can be challenging. What can sustain us? With what attitude will we travel this journey?
We have designed a broad range of events and activities for 2012 that explore the theme of "Journeys of Life". Some events are active, some more reflective. Some have an obvious spiritual theme, but others don't. Our hope is that you will find some or all of these events helpful, enjoyable and stimulating.
Please take a moment to look at what is on offer and start to plan your journey through the year - which events you would like to attend, which you would like to encourage your family and friends to attend and, perhaps, which ones you would like to help make happen.
