Virtual Tour of St. Benedict's

St. Benedict's has been serving the parish of Briar Hill, Camp Hill, East Hunsbury and West Hunsbury since 1982.

The Bishop of Peterborough consecrated the building on 10 July 1982.  The church is dedicated to St. Benedict, the famous 6th century monk whose Rule became the framework for the lives of countless monks and nuns down the ages.  The key elements of his Rule are Prayer, Worship, Study, Work and Recreation.

The building is designed to make the Altar Table and Cross the focal points, and the seating is arranged to encourage everyone to feel included in the worship.

Whilst we are a modern church, we have a number of items that are more traditional, having been brought from other churches.  This helps to remind us that however old or young we are, we are part of a timeless organisation - one that values all that has gone before and looks forward in hope to what will be.

Please feel free to take a virtual tour of our inspirational modern church building.  Enjoy your visit.
